Introduction
Welcome to AccountWatch ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application and services, which integrate with your Slack workspace. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the service.
Information We Collect
We take your privacy seriously and are transparent about the data we collect.
Authentication and Identity: When you authorize AccountWatch, we use Slack for authentication. We collect your Slack user ID and workspace ID to create and manage your account. We do not receive or store your Slack password.
Slack Channel Data: Our service works by analyzing conversations. We only retain access to the messages and content from public channels that you explicitly add the AccountWatch app to. We use this information to build our analytics and generate reports for you. We do not access or retain any data from your private channels or direct messages.
Data Deletion: If you uninstall the AccountWatch app from your workspace, we will delete all associated data from our infrastructure within 12 months. This means your Slack content data will be completely removed from our systems.
Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access our web application, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and access times.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve our services. Specifically, we use the information collected to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Analyze content from designated Slack channels to provide you with reports and insights.
- Monitor and analyze usage to improve your experience.
- Communicate with you about your account or updates to the Application.
We do not use any of your Slack data for developing, improving, or training generalized AI and/or ML models.
Data Security and Third-Party Services
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
To provide our features, our app may share textual data from your designated Slack channels with third-party AI model providers. The data shared with these providers is not used for developing, improving, or training their generalized AI and/or ML models.
Our use and transfer of information received from Slack APIs will adhere to the Slack Developer Policy and the Slack API Terms of Service.
